Hi, my name's Sofia Blomgren. I was born in 1992 in Stockholm, Sweden, where I also grew up. I've loved photography since I was a little kid, but it wasn't until a few years ago I realized that maybe it could be more than a hobby. I went to high school with focus on math and natural sciences, but after graduating I decided that I wanted to develop my creative side as well. In August 2012 I moved to Santa Barbara, California, to study photography at Santa Barbara City College. I'm now on my second year at SBCC ans I'm planning to graduate next year with a Certificate of Achievement in Applied Photography.



The most important part of photography has for me always been capturing moments. The thought of being able to capture a moment that will never happen again, to freeze a moment and to be able to keep it forever, makes me really happy. With that in mind, combined with my love for music, concert photography has grown to be my favorite kind of photography. But I don't only shoot concerts, I like photographing people in general, both inside and outside the studio. Sometimes I bring out my artsy side as well and then I take abstract shots of basically anything.
